Former Telluride Members Reunite together as The Ride for One Incredible Night of Music
Music fans are in for a powerful dose of nostalgia and high-energy rock as former members of the legendary band Telluride reunite under the name The Ride for one unforgettable night.
The lineup features four familiar names that helped define a generation of college campus concerts across the South and beyond: Kevin Derryberry, Barry Waldrep, Joe Breckenridge and Kent Peterson. Joining them on drums for the evening will be Pat Bailey adding his driving rhythm to a sound that once packed college clubs with excited fans.
Through the years, these musicians played virtually every college campus you can think of, becoming a staple of late-night shows, fraternity parties, and standing-room-only student events. Their blend of classic rock grit and electrifying stage presence made Telluride a fan favorite wherever they traveled.
On August 22, 2026 their performance promises to deliver the magic all over again.
Fans can look forward to hearing the beloved anthem “Birmingham Tonight” written by Kevin Derryberry — a song that became a defining favorite during the band’s heyday. Along with that classic, The Ride will perform the popular rock staples that longtime fans remember blasting through campus quads and packed gymnasiums during their college days.
Although each member has gone on to build successful individual careers since leaving Telluride, the chemistry forged through years on the road remains undeniable. The Ride is more than a reunion — it’s a celebration of friendship, shared history, and the kind of musical energy that only comes from miles traveled and stages conquered together.
For one night, the stories, the laughter, and the unmistakable sound that defined an era will return to the stage.
If you were there back in the day, this is your chance to relive it. And if you weren’t — get ready to experience what made it unforgettable.
